Nonna to seven granddaughters! I live on the far north coast of Australia. I'm a Nonna to seven granddaughters. Yes, seven girls, no boys as yet. It's the most wonderful joy to be a grandparent and I just love it every day.
Many years ago, I learned to sew making clothes for my dolls and later I learned to knit and crotchet. My mum and nana were very talented with hand crafts.
A little while ago, my bigger granddaughters wanted to learn to sew because they were fascinated that a garment could be formed from a flat piece of fabric let alone knitted or crocheted from a ball of thread. I thought it would be wonderful to pass on the crafts to my next generation and so, after many years of sewing and knitting for myself, family and others I started 'playing with dolls' again.
I found the enjoyment of spending time with my girls and producing such lovely items that I also wanted to share my talents of handmaking for dolls and babies with anyone who also has a love or need for gorgeous little outfits.
As well as my extra passion for knitting, I really like to make one-off garments and pay attention to every detail and be completely happy with each item and this is how I achieve complete joy from my hobby.
